Cancellation of all FWF Events until the End of April as a Preventive Health Measure

Due to the decree on the cancellation of events passed by the government on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, as well as in response to the appeal to restrict social contacts, the FWF is following the guidelines as well as precautionary measures and postponing the events planned for March and April indefinitely.

FWF Continues Reform of Programmes for Researchers in Early Career Stage

As the Austrian Science Fund continues to update and improve its portfolio of programmes, a new early career stage programme for postdocs will be offered as of 2021. The new programme will replace the present Lise Meitner and Hertha Firnberg Programmes. Some of the main features of the new programme will be that project proposals can be submitted on an ongoing basis, funding volumes will be adjusted to meet current needs, and there will be more funding for women as well as more mentoring for women. It is hoped that the new programme, together with some supplementary measures, will help researchers get firmly established in top research.

Citizen Science Survey: Tell us what you Think

Proposing research topics, reporting observations and conducting measurements - citizen science projects actively involve interested members of the public in the process of gaining research insights. Take part in the current FWF survey and help evaluate existing citizen science funding activities.
